The majority of the Rail Plant Association (RPA) work centres on helping its members achieve "safety critical" compliance through the training of operatives and safety critical working guidance. Safety Critical Compliance is a requirement of the Railways (Safety Critical Work) Regulations 1994 and the Railways and Other Transport Systems (Approval of Works and Plant) Regulations 1994. The Health and Safety Executive is responsible for policing these regulations. |
